Driver of car critically injured in crash with tractor trailer in Brampton

A man was critically injured when his car and a tractor-trailer collided in Brampton on Tuesday.

Peel police and paramedics were called to the crash in the area of Williams Parkway and Airport Road around 3:15 p.m.

The driver of the car was taken to a trauma centre in serious, life threatening condition.

The driver of the truck did not appear to be injured and remained on scene.

The major collisions bureau is investigating.

Airport Road is closed southbound at Williams Parkway and northbound from Queen. Drivers are being asked to use alternate routes.
