Ontario confirms 491 COVID-19 cases Sunday, 2 new deaths

Ontario has confirmed 491 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, an increase from the 435 cases reported Saturday.

In a tweet, Health Minister Christine Elliott said there are 137 cases in Toronto today, with 131 in Peel Region, and 58 each in York Region and Ottawa.

Elliott added that 63 per cent of the cases are people under the age of 40 and over 42,500 tests were completed.

Two new deaths were reported, bringing the provincial total to 2,839.

Of the 49,831 cases in Ontario, 85.8 per cent are considered resolved.
