Did you see a bright light in the sky early Wednesday morning?
680 NEWS listener Patrick Adair said he saw a “fireball” on his way to work.
Adair captured the light on his dashcam video when he was southbound on HWY 400, south of Barrie, near Innisfil Beach Road.
The bright flash was also spotted in the skies over parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania around 4 o’clock.
There are reports of people seeing a streaking fireball that remained in the skies for a brief time before disappearing from sight.
680 NEWS listener Rhonda Haley sent in this video of a “fireball” on Thursday morning, writing “headed south on the 400, just seconds south of 11th line between HWY 89 and 88 at 6:24 a.m., I saw a bright streak in the sky ending with a spectacular flash.”
“It was a blue-white streak ending with a white explosion that had a red-orange glow around the bottom as it ended. I was over the moon to have seen this. So was my passenger,” she added, “better than watching the night sky for a shooting star during a publicized shower event.”
