Ontario reports slight drop in COVID-19 cases to 721

Ontario is reporting 721 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, a slight drop from the 746 cases on Tuesday.

In a tweet, Minister Christine Elliott said Toronto remains a hotspot with 270 new cases while Peel Region has 170 and York Region has 79 cases.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the total number of deaths at 3,017.

Another 783 resolved cases were reported on Wednesday. Of the 61,413 COVID-19 cases in Ontario, 85.5 per cent are considered resolved.

There were 32,206 tests completed yesterday and another 26,558 remain under investigation.
