Ontario reports 712 new COVID-19 cases, 9 new deaths

Ontario is reporting 712 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, a drop from the 783 cases confirmed Thursday.

Most of the new cases are in Toronto (213), Peel Region (135), York Region (62), and Ottawa (108).

Nine more people have died, bringing the total to 3,031 deaths.

The number of resolved cases was slightly higher than new cases Friday with 713.

A total of 38,500 tests were completed with 37,155 still under investigation.
