1 man dead in possible road-rage incident following crash on Highway 401

A man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle on Highway 401, just west of Yonge Street in what police say might be case of road-rage.
Provincial police said they were called to the scene at around 6:45 p.m. Friday.
OPP said drivers were exchanging information in what appears to have been a possible collision when a 25-year-old man, who was walking eastbound on the westbound shoulder, was struck by a transport truck.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.
Police are investigating to see if the collision is a possible road-rage incident.
The Special Investigations Unit has been notified because police were in the vicinity responding to a separate collision call at the time of the incident.
Toronto OPP are investigating a collision that resulted in a pedestrian being struck by a passing vehicle. One man has died at scene, and witnesses are asked to please call 416-235-4981. ^dh
