Apartment unit evacuated, no injuries reported following explosion in Mississauga

Police and fire crews responded to reports of an explosion inside an apartment unit in Mississauga on Friday morning.
It happened at Rathburn Road and Fieldgate Drive around 9 a.m.
First responders were able to evacuate everyone from the residence and crews are still working to ensure everyone has been escorted safely.
Peel paramedics said as many as seven people were tended to but that no serious injuries were reported and that no one had been transported to hospital as a result.
Fire crews tended to a fire inside a unit but it has since been extinguished.
Officials have said a wall has collapsed inside the building though it’s not clear what caused the explosion.
Peel police remain on scene helping with the investigation.
