Oshawa man, 78, dies following 3-vehicle crash in Ajax

A 78-year-old Oshawa man has died after three-vehicle crash in Ajax.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Harwood Avenue south and Achilles Road, south of the 401.
A grey Chevrolet Cobalt was struck in a T-bone-style collision by a grey Jeep. The Cobalt was then struck again by a delivery van shortly after.
The male driver of the Cobalt was seriously injured in the collision. An ambulance travelling nearby was able to provide immediate medical assistance, but the man was later pronounced dead in hospital.
His name is being withheld at the request of his family.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Police say closed the intersection for several hours to conduct an investigation.
