Suspect arrested in fatal shooting of Brampton man

Toronto police say they have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old Brampton man.

Police said officers on patrol in the Finch Avenue West and Duncanwoods Drive area responded to a call for gunshots just before 6 p.m.

When officers arrived they spotted a man fleeing the area on foot. He remains at large.

Later, police said officers found a male suffering from gunshot wounds.  Paramedics were called and CPR was performed on the victim, but he died at the scene.

The victim was identified as Tyjjuan Kidd-Bailey.

On Thursday, officers arrested Deandre Cadougan, 19, of Toronto in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with second-degree murder.

Cadougan will appear in court via video link on Friday morning.
