1 person critically injured after house fire in Brampton

Two people are in hospital with smoke inhalation after a fire at a home in Brampton.

The fire broke out at the home near Main and Queen streets around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Seven people were in the home at the time. Four people managed to get out on their own, but three others were rescued by fire crews.

One was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Two other people have minor injuries. One was taken to hospital but the third person refused medical treatment.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
