Man dead after shooting near Lawrence Avenue East and Pharmacy Avenue

A man has died following a shooting in a Scarborough neighbourhood Monday evening.
Police said they were called to a strip mall in the Lawrence Avenue East and Pharmacy Avenue area for a report of gunfire shortly after 7 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man unconscious, suffering from gunshot wounds and started CPR, police said. Shortly after he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shell casings were located nearby, investigators said.
The homicide unit has now taken over the investigation and anyone with security or dash camera footage is being asked to contact police.
