Adora Nwofor is the only Black female comedian in Calgary and also president of Black Lives Matter in that city. She uses comedy in her activism and advocates for anti-racism in her comedy.

Darryl Contois is a volunteer searcher who spends his days combing through the bush around Winnipeg’s Red River, hoping to find missing and murdered people and some closure for their families.

Kirk Myrie lives with sickle cell disease, a blood disorder that predominately affects the Black population. In the past, he’s rushed to hospital in excruciating pain, only to have a security guard threaten to kick him out for being too loud.
