Police investigate 2 separate tow truck fires near Victoria Park and O’Connor

Toronto police are investigating two separate tow truck fires in the Victoria Park Avenue and O’Connor Drive area of Scarborough overnight.

Police said the fires happened within minutes of each other, just blocks apart, and in each case an accelerant was used.

The first fire happened around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Victoria Park Avenue and Parma Court area.

The second fire happened just after 11:50 p.m. in the area of Victoria Park and Sunrise Avenue.

Officers came upon the second fire scene as they were responding to the first fire.

In both fires, the trucks were parked in lots. There has been no word on if the two fires are connected.

No suspect information has been released.
