Woman critically injured in Mississauga hit-and-run

A 38-year-old woman has life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run in Mississauga.

Peel police were called to Dundas Street West and Glen Erin Drive, near Erin Mills Parkway, just after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the woman was on a motor-assisted bike in the right lane heading east on Dundas when she was hit from behind by a vehicle that that did not stop.

Witnesses ran over to help the woman until police and paramedics arrived.

The vehicle is described as a newer-model white sedan that would likely have front-end damage.
