Long line at Scarborough pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic for 2nd day; more pop-ups in GTA

For the second day, Scarborough residents living in a hotspot area had to wait in a long line Friday to get appointments at a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

The clinic at David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute, which was also opened on Thursday, is for residents aged 18 and older who live in the M1P postal code.

Tickets are being handed out for same-day appointments on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 7 a.m. The clinic also had a massive line on Thursday.

A spokesperson from the Scarborough Health Network said 1,500 doses of the Pfizer vaccine would be administered each day.

The clinic, located at 125 Brockley Dr. near Lawrence Avenue East and Brimley Road, will operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Other pop-up vaccine clinics in the GTA

Another round of pop-up vaccination clinics are hitting the GTA on Friday for those hoping to get their COVID-19 shot.

Toronto
Another Scaroborough pop-up is back Friday in the parking lot at 70 Prairie Dr.

The clinic, which will vaccinate all adults living in the M1L postal code, will operate from 8 a.m. until supply runs out. There will be around 1,170 doses available.

They clinic will accept walk-ins only.

The clinic at Downsview Arena (1633 Wilson Ave) in North York is back again.

Any adult who live and work in M3J, M3K, M3M, M3N, M6M, M6L, M9L, M9M and M9N are eligible.

The clinic will operate from 9 a.m. until vaccine supply runs out. There are around 1,500 doses available.

They will be accepting walk-ins only, no appointments.

Oakdale Community Centre clinic (350 Grandravine Drive) will operate on both Friday and Saturday.

All adults who live in the M3J, M3L, M3N, M9L and M9M postal are eligible.

The clinic will run from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. (or until vaccine supply runs out).

Durham Region
Durham adults living in the L1S postal code can get their shot on Friday at Bolton C. Falby Public School (80 Falby Court) in Ajax.

The clinic will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be accepting walk-ins.

Peel Region
Peel pop-ups will operate at the Brampton Islamic Centre & the MissMAC Islamic Community Centre of Ontario in Mississauga for more than a week.

They clinics will operate by appointment only for specific postal codes.

They run from April 30 to May 11 with 14,000 doses of vaccine available.
