Exclusive premiere of Barenaked Ladies video ‘New Disaster’

Multi-platinum band Barenaked Ladies are set to pull the covers off their new music video “New Disaster” on Friday, which is on the band’s 16th studio album Detour de Force, set to be released on July 16.
“The video is very dark and graphic,” lead singer and guitarist Ed Robertson told CityNews about the new video.
“It looks like you are flipping through a graphic novel, a dystopian near future graphic novel that is not very far from the truth about how we are all plugged in and hooked into the most damaging aspects of the 24 hour cycle combined with anti-social media.”
“We live in a very strange heightened time,” he adds. “We live in a difficult time where we are all titillated by violence and all being strung along with the promise of something horrific just around the corner and I don’t think it is very healthy.”
