2 charged after fatal assault in Riverdale neighbourhood

Toronto Police have charged two men in connection with the death of a man in the Riverdale neighbourhood last month.

Police said they responded to a call for unknown trouble in the Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue area on the afternoon of May 24.

It is alleged that the two men got into a physical altercation with 51-year-old man who was later found dead.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.

John Alexander Mackenzie, 26, and Zola Zenguele, 25, both of Toronto are facing aggravated assault charges. Zenguele is also charged with breach of probation.
