Toronto man charged with murder after remains found in vehicle fire

Toronto police have charged a 36-year-old man with second-degree murder after human remains were found in a vehicle fire.

Police were called to the Steeles Avenue East and Gordon Murison Lane area on Saturday, August 14 at around 6 a.m. for reports of a vehicle on fire.

The remains of a man were discovered in the vehicle.

A post-mortem exam concluded the victim was murdered. The victim’s identity has not been revealed.

On Tuesday, police arrested Dennis Singh, 36, of Toronto. He has been charged with one count of second-degree murder.
