Peel Regional Police say two people, a man and a woman, have been rushed to a trauma centre with what is believed to be life-threatening injuries following a shooting in Brampton.

Investigators were called to the Central Park Drive and Graham Crescent area near Bramalea just before 5 p.m. on Sunday for reports that two people had been shot in a plaza parking lot.

One male adult and a female adult were shot inside their vehicle. The pair were transported to a hospital with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say a light-coloured vehicle was seen fleeing the area. They will provide more details as they come in.
