A 41-year-old Toronto man is facing a murder charge following the death of another man at a residential building in Midtown Toronto.
Investigators say they were called to 88 Redpath Avenue near Eglinton Avenue and Mount Pleasant Road just after 2 p.m. on Thursday following reports of a suspicious incident in one of the apartment units.
When they arrived and tried to enter the unit the man inside allegedly refused to let them in. Police say they believe he may have been in crisis.
After they managed to get inside the apartment they located a person who was deceased.
Following an autopsy on Friday, the man’s death was deemed a homicide. He has been identified as 28-year-old Inderpreet Singh Manget of Toronto.
Police have arrested 41-year-old Theodore Ramsey of Toronto and charged him with second degree murder.
