Man seriously hurt after falling concrete damages car in Toronto

By Lucas Casaletto

One man is in hospital with serious injuries after concrete fell from a construction site onto a street below, badly damaging the driver’s vehicle.

Toronto police were first notified of a hazard around 4:30 p.m. in the Yonge and Cumberland Street area, cautioning for falling debris and concrete.

One witness tells CityNews they saw fallen concrete hit the vehicle, covering the windshield.

The driver suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result. It’s unclear if anyone else was in the car at the time.

Roads were closed in the area but have since reopened. No other injuries were reported.
