1 hospitalized after crash involving Toronto police cruiser

A man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a crash involving a Toronto police cruiser on Monday morning.
It happened on Kipling Avenue at Beaconhill Road just before 10 a.m.
Police say there’s no indication that the crash stemmed from a pursuit, and it’s not yet evident if the man’s injuries are serious enough for the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) to become involved.
The SIU investigates cases where there is serious injury of death involving police.

Kipling has been closed in both directions at Beaconhill for the investigation.
