The City of Toronto has reopened its five municipal golf courses for the 2022 season on Friday.
As of 7 a.m., residents can attend Dentonia Park, Don Valley, Humber Valley, Scarlett Woods and Tam O’Shanter courses for tee times in 10-minute increments throughout the day.
In a statement promoting the reopening of the courses, City of Toronto staff highlighted discounts available for families bringing children out to golf during weekend afternoon nine-hole tee times.

They also noted each of the courses is accessible by the TTC and equipment rentals are available at the pro shops at each of the courses.
At most of the golf courses, there is also FlingGolf available. The sport combines golf and lacrosse, and staff said it helps introduce newer players to the course and can be played faster.
Also, Bench Fit fitness circuits will be open at all courses. Each course has a 10-station circuit and with instructional signage, offering instructions for up to 40 different exercises.
Meanwhile, for those looking to book a tee time, they were encouraged to book online or call the clubhouse directly as soon as possible since times book out quickly.
