Man wanted for repeatedly punching woman near North York subway station

Toronto police are searching for a wanted man that repeatedly punched a woman in the face as she walked towards a subway station in North York.

On Tuesday, authorities were notified of an assault in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area around 5 p.m.

It’s alleged that a woman was walking toward the Sheppard-Yonge subway station when a man approached her and punched her in the face multiple times.

Police said the man is not known to the woman.

It’s unclear how serious the woman’s injuries were.

The male suspect is 25-30 years old, around 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, with a medium build.

He was last observed wearing a dark blue baseball hat, light blue surgical mask, dark green t-shirt, dark blue jeans, dark shoes, and was carrying a large black and grey duffle bag.

Anyone who recognizes this man is asked to contact investigators.
