Woman suffering from stab wounds located at Dundas subway station

Toronto police are investigating a stabbing that has left one woman with serious injuries.

Police say they were called to Yonge-Dundas Square just after 8:30 p.m. Friday night where they located a woman in her 20s suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen in Dundas subway station.

Police say the woman told them the stabbing occurred at York University, which is more than 20 km away. However, there is also a York University campus affiliated with Osgoode Law School which is located just steps away from where the woman was found.

Paramedics transported the woman to a nearby trauma centre in non-life threatening condition.

No word on any suspect information at this time.
