Pedestrian struck, driver fled scene in Overlea Boulevard area

A woman was injured after she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in the Overlea Boulevard area on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of Overlea Boulevard and Thorncliffe Park Drive at 2:56 p.m. and the driver fled the scene.
Paramedics report the woman suffered an injury to her leg and was taken to a local trauma centre with non-life threatening injuries.
Westbound Overlea Boulevard is blocked due to the incident and only one lane is open as police investigate the collision.
