Driver stabbed, suspect sought after ‘road rage incident’ in Mississauga parking lot

Peel police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed during a “road rage incident” in a Mississauga parking lot.

Officers responded to reports of a stabbing at a plaza near Eglinton Avenue West and Ridgeway Drive around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police tell CityNews there was an argument between a driver and a pedestrian in the parking lot. The two men allegedly exchanged words before things turned physical and the pedestrian stabbed the driver.

Paramedics said the victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police later upgraded his condition to serious but stable.

The suspect fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. He is described as a man in his 20s, five feet five inches tall with black curly hair. He was last seen wearing a black sweater and black sweatpants.

Anyone with further information is being asked to contact police.
