Motorcyclist critically injured, struck by vehicle in Etobicoke

A motorcyclist is in life-threatening condition after colliding with a vehicle in Etobicoke.

Toronto police were called to the Lake Shore Boulevard and Islington Avenue area around 3 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a motorcycle and vehicle crash.

Police say a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Islington approaching Lake Shore when it collided with a a Mitsubishi RVR that was making a U-turn from northbound Islington onto the southbound lanes.

The motorcyclist’s injuries were initially deemed serious but non-life-threatening, but police said the victim’s condition has worsened, and their injuries are now considered critical.

The driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating with authorities.
