Lockdown at Durham College’s Whitby campus lifted after stabbing probe

Durham Regional Police say a lockdown at Durham College’s Whitby campus on Monday has been lifted after a stabbing investigation in the area.

Police say one person was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

It’s not clear at this point if the stabbing occurred on campus and there’s no word on arrests at this point.

Despite the lockdown ending, police say officers will remain in the area.

No further details were immediately available.
