1 dead, 1 injured in North York stabbing, suspect arrested

A 77-year-old man is in custody following a double stabbing at an apartment in North York.
Police say they were called to 10 Wilmington Avenue, north of Sheppard Avenue West, around 11:15 a.m. for reports someone had been stabbed.
When they arrived they found a man and a woman in their 50s suffering from stab wounds. The man’s injuries were life-threatening and he was pronounced dead. The woman, believed to be his wife, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
A 77-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene. No charges have been laid at this time.
Police have not indicated if there is a relationship between the suspect and victims.
