Man dies days after being struck by vehicle in south Etobicoke

A man in his 40s who suffered critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle in south Etobicoke last week has died, Toronto police said.

Authorities said a pedestrian was struck by the driver of a pickup truck just before 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, in the Lake Shore Boulevard West and Brow Drive area.

Paramedics told CityNews the man was taken to the hospital with injuries described as severe and life-threatening. The 41-year-old man succumbed to those injuries on Monday, March 16, police said.

Investigators say the driver remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
