Peel Regional Police are investigating after a tow truck was deliberately set on fire in the driveway of a Brampton home early Thursday.
Officers were called to Vauxhall Crescent, near Creditview Road and Sandalwood Parkway, around 3:10 a.m. for reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames. When crews arrived, they found a tow truck burning in the driveway of a home.
There was no damage to the house, and no injuries have been reported.
A Peel police spokesperson tells CityNews officers are investigating the cause of the blaze but have not yet determined whether it is suspicious.
“Police responded to a call at 3:10 a.m. in relation to a vehicle on fire. The vehicle is a tow truck. Officers are currently investigating the cause of the fire,” the spokesperson said.
No further details have been released, and investigators are expected to canvass the neighbourhood Thursday morning.
