Man facing numerous firearms-related offences in series of east-end robberies, assaults

A 29-year-old man is facing almost a dozen firearms-related charges stemming from a series of robberies and assaults in the east-end of the city.

Police say over a four-day period from July 10 to July 13, they investigated four separate incidents in the areas of Danforth and Donlands avenues, Danforth and Coxwell avenues, Donlands and Cosburn avenues, and Queen Street West and Abell Street.

In each case, the suspect assaulted and/or robbed victims of their personal property.

Omar Leo Boussou was arrested on July 13 and faces 11 charges including robbery with a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, robbery with violence and assault.

Police are concerned there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
