Suspect arrested after threat made against Mississauga school: police

A suspect is in custody after a Mississauga school received an anonymous threat this week.

Peel police said they arrested a suspect Wednesday afternoon, but no further details have been released.

Officers had been investigating a number of schools, including Whiteoaks Public School, Tecumseh Public School and Lorne Park Public School, but didn’t say which school received the threat.

“This afternoon, Peel Regional Police advised the Peel District School Board that an arrest has made in relation to this threat,” reads a note on the schools’ websites.

“Police have assured us that we are safe to continue our normal school routines.”

The investigation is ongoing.
