Toronto Zoo’s clouded leopard cubs getting ‘sassy’

By News Staff

An adorable update from the Toronto Zoo shows some of their newest additions are making steady progress.

On Friday, the zoo released new video of a pair of two-month-old clouded leopards born in May who have been living in the new Wildlife Health Centre’s intensive care unit.

Clouded leopards are listed as vulnerable on the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s red list. The Toronto Zoo is participating in a clouded leopard conservation breeding program through the Species Survival Plan program.

The unnamed cubs are approximately the same size and the zoo says they’re beginning to show off their personalities.

Both are very energetic, though one is described as “sassier” than it’s sibling. They both make bird-like chirping sounds and enjoy a good wrestling bout from time to time.

They’re not ready to be seen by the general public just yet – but not to worry – in the meantime, the zoo has plenty of “aww” inspiring photos to share.
