Montreal author creates her own children’s book on Black history

Dina Pugliese and Devo Brown speak with Akilah Newton, an author and community leader in Montreal, about how she couldn’t find a children’s book about Canadian Black history, so she began writing her own book. “Movers, Shakers, History Makers: The Canadian Black History Book of Rhymes” takes a look at some prominent figures in Black history across the country.
