Aurora man charged after raids turn up drugs, cash, ammunition: police

By News Staff

An Aurora man is facing numerous charges after York Regional police executed search warrants last month, seizing quantities of drugs, ammunition and cash as part of Project Tattoo.

Police say they received information in September about suspicious activity at a residence on Walton Drive in Aurora and began investigating the tip.

On Feb. 9, police raided the Aurora home, and a storage unit the suspect was using in Mississauga.

“Investigations like this one require significant time and resources and are only successful because of the hard work and dedication of our investigators,” said Chief Eric Jolliffe.

“This arrest and the significant seizure of drugs and ammunition keeps York Region one of Canada’s safest communities.”

Police have released photos of evidence allegedly seized during the raids, including cocaine, crystal meth, bullets, and stacks of cash totaling more than $100,000.
