Emergency crews put out restaurant fire near Bloor and Lansdowne

Emergency crews were able to contain a restaurant fire near Bloor Street West and Lansdowne Avenue Saturday evening.

Toronto police say they were called to the area just after 6 p.m. to find the restaurant fully engulfed in flames. The fire has since been put out.

The fire did spread to the second floor apartments, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze so no other buildings were affected.

No injuries were reported yet, but the damage was extensive.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the blaze.

Bloor has reopened between Dufferin Avenue and Lansdowne after being closed for several hours.
