Oshawa woman allegedly defrauded GTA dentists over $200,000

An Oshawa woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly defrauding a number of dentists from Durham Region and throughout the GTA.

The investigation began last summer after two Pickering area dentists filed a fraud complaint charge against their office manager.

The Durham regional police Major Crime Fraud Unit found that since April 2013, the suspect allegedly used her position and stole cheques from dental patients that were payable to the dentists. She then allegedly deposited these cheques into her personal bank account.
