Peel police investigating suspicious package found on Brampton driveway

Peel police are investigating a suspicious package found behind a vehicle on a Brampton driveway, but say there is no threat to public safety.

Officers were called to the area at Buster Drive and Grover Road around 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

The Explosive Disposal Unit has determined the package was inert. Police are now working to identify what the object is.

Nearby residents have been evacuated at this point, but now say there is no threat to public safety.
