VanVleet drops 30 as Raptors grind out win against DeRozan, Bulls
Fred VanVleet scored a game-high 30 points as the Toronto Raptors beat the Chicago Bulls 113-104 on Sunday at Scotiabank Arena.
It was a triumphant return for VanVleet, who sat out the last three games with back stiffness. The 28-year-old showed no rust, hitting five three-pointers and dropping a season-high 30 points with 11 assists. VanVleet also went 7-7 from the free-throw line.
OG Anunoby was efficient for the Raptors, hitting 10 of 19 shots with 22 points, six rebounds and three steals. Scottie Barnes finished with a double-double, with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Former Raptor DeMar DeRozan was unusually quiet on Sunday, with 20 points and five rebounds. Goran Dragic added 16 points off the bench for Chicago.
The win comes without Pascal Siakam, who will miss at least a week of game action with a strained groin. Siakam suffered the injury on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks and left that game early.
Siakam was off to a torrid start to the season, averaging just over 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists per game.
Toronto will travel to Chicago for a rematch with the Bulls on Monday.
