Ajax man charged in human trafficking case involving girl under 18

A 23-year-old man from Ajax has been arrested and charged in an ongoing human trafficking investigation, Peel Regional Police said.

Last week, 23-year-old Daquan Grant of Ajax was arrested. He’s been charged with procuring and exercising control over a female minor.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared in court. His photo has been released.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims, particularly in the GTA.
