Officers responded and found the man in front of a medical building at Ellesmere and Principal Roads. The man allegedly had a hammer.

An officer shot the man, and another officer discharged a conducted energy weapon, according to the SIU.

The SIU is currently working to identify the man and notify his family.

There are multiple road closures in the area.
