Several injured when Mississauga bus crashes head-on with SUV

Ten people were injured, two seriously, when a Mississauga Transitway bus collided head-on with an SUV in Toronto’s west end on Friday morning.

It happened around 9 a.m. on Islington Avenue, north of Bloor Street West.

Paramedics said two passengers on the bus were seriously hurt, and eight had minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV, an 81-year-old man, had cuts to his face and hands.

The Toronto police traffic services unit is investigating.
