New airline set to fly out of Pearson Airport at the end of August

Canadian travellers will soon have another option when it comes to flights out of Pearson Airport.

Canada Jetlines announced on Thursday that they have secured its air operating certificate (AOC) from Transport Canada, essentially granting the airline approval to begin operations out of Toronto Pearson International Airport by the end of August.

The approval confirms that Canada Jetlines has complied with all safety regulations set in place for aircraft operations by the federal travel regulator.

“We thank Transport Canada and greatly appreciate the tireless effort and diligence they undertake to approve new airlines,” said Eddy Doyle, CEO of Canada Jetlines in a statement issued Thursday.

Describing themselves as a “leisure airline”, the company’s website currently shows national flight options to Winnipeg and Moncton set to take to the sky on August 29th.

Canada Jetline has plans to expand their routes to leisure destinations within the U.S.A. and Caribbean at a later date.

“We excitedly look forward to our launch date, meeting the increased demand for convenient, leisure travel in Canada and beyond and to provide more options to explore the world.”
