High school swimmer making a splash to support women’s shelters – one handbag at a time
Sara Gomes is a standout grade 10 swimmer – specializing in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, and medley relay, but she’s also making a big impact out of the water.
She created “Helping Handbags” after a conversation with her parents in elementary school – an organization that works to provide women in need with toiletries and everyday essentials.
