Four men charged with pimping 16-year-old in Peel Region

Peel Regional Police have arrested four men and are looking for two others in connection with the pimping of a 16-year-old girl.

Police say back in January, the teenaged girl was lured into the sex trade by five men, who forced her to work as an escort at various locations in and around Peel Region over a six-week period.

Police ultimately identified, arrested and charged four suspects in connection with that case. They were asking for the public’s help in identifying a fifth suspect.

Last month, the same 16-year-old was lured to a hotel in York Region where she was confronted by three of the suspects previously charged along with a fourth man. They forced her into a car and took her to 22 Division, where she was told to recant her statement with regards to the January incident. Instead, she advised the police of the situation and three of the four suspects were arrested.

Semere “Sousa” or “Samy” Netzereab, 19, from Mississauga, faces a number of charges including trafficking in persons under the age of 18, exercising control under 18 years and advertising sexual services.

Minyaal “General” Wur, 18, from Mississauga, also faces charges of trafficking, procuring and advertising sexual services along with assault, kidnapping and intimidation of a justice system participant.

Elyas “Illy” Yusuf, 19, from Mississauga, faces charges of trafficking, procuring and derive a material benefit from sexual services under 18 years as well as kidnapping, intimidation of a justice system participant and failing to comply.

Yonis “Gherbo” Osman, 20, from Toronto, faces charges of procuring, derive a material benefit from sexual services under 18 as well as kidnapping and intimidation of a justice system participant.

The other two suspects police are looking to identify in connection with these incidents are described as a black man, approximately 25 years of age, who goes by the name Guwop and another black man.

Police say they are concerned there may be more victims associated with this group and they are asking people to come forward with any information.
