Parental rights advocates plan to rally Wednesday at Queen’s Park as they continue to demand that the Liberal sex-ed curriculum be scrapped.
Speakers are to include Tanya Granic Allen of Parents as First Educators, Jack Fonseca of the Campaign Life Coalition, and a 16-year-old student activist Guinevere Santaguida.
Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown is still dealing with the fallout from a controversial letter handed out during a recent byelection saying he’d scrap the changes to the curriculum.
Brown, who originally opposed the changes, has said he now believes “significant opposition” to the curriculum is rooted in anti-LGBT sentiments and he now supports the curriculum.
But Granic Allen says it’s her understanding that the letter originated with the involvement and co-operation of Brown and his office.
