A young man spent Saturday in hospital following an attack on College Street during the early morning hours.
Police say the 20-year-old was slashed in the neck near Bathurst Street around 3:30am, and is now at Toronto Western with serious injuries. He’s expected to survive.
The victim, who was reportedly dressed as gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson, was attacked when three other men made fun of his costume and then sliced him with a broken beer bottle.
Police are still looking for the trio of suspects, a search made even more difficult by the fact that they were also wearing costumes. One was dressed as Jason from Friday the 13th.
If you know who was wearing that costume call Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS.
