Kerosene Used In Attempted Break-In

It was an unusual weapon for a break-in: Toronto Police believe that kerosene was used during an attempted robbery on Heatherside Road.

The flammable liquid was spread all around the home just before 5am, prompting a hazardous material call.

A family was home at the time, but everyone made it out safely, and the kerosene was never ignited.

Firefighters and other emergency crews rushed to the scene and set up fans to dissipate the fumes.

Police dogs were brought in to search for possible suspects, but so far, they haven’t found anything.
